📞 Lori: 901-604-5557 | Bill: 901-644-5801

⚠️ Note: Cell service may drop after Savannah. We recommend downloading or printing these directions before leaving.

From Memphis to Savannah

  • Take TN-385, then US-72, US-45, and finally US-64.

  • Alternate: Take US-64 straight from Memphis (via Somerville if coming from I-40 East).

  • For restrooms or a quick stop, Love’s in Walnut, MS is convenient.

Savannah → Downing Hollow Farm

  • Cross the Tennessee River into Savannah.

  • Continue straight through downtown.

  • Turn left just past McDonald’s (about 1.7 miles).

  • Continue on US-64 East.

  • About 10 minutes past Walmart, watch for mile marker 20 and the Olive Hill sign.

  • Turn right immediately after the Jowers Road sign.

Olive Hill Road

  • Bear left – you are now on Olive Hill Rd.

  • Continue approximately 5.4 miles.

  • Ignore GPS directions suggesting a turn onto Randall Lane.

  • Drive carefully; there are narrow bridges, blind hills, and deer crossings.

Landmarks

  • Hardin County Mennonite Church/School is on the right side. Do not turn on Randall Lane.

Final Approach

  • About ½ mile past the church, you’ll see three driveways on the right.

  • Take the middle driveway – your mailbox will say Downing Hollow Farm – 5290 Olive Hill Rd.

  • Gravel/dirt driveway → proceed slowly, cross the cattle guard, and follow signs for parking.

Coming from Other Directions

  • No matter where you’re coming from, set your GPS to 5290 Olive Hill Rd, Olivehill, TN 38475. Once you’re on Olive Hill Road, follow the signs and driveway instructions to reach Downing Hollow Farm.

Supplies & What to Bring

Getting Supplies in Savannah

  • It’s about a one-hour drive into town and back. If you need to stop at a store before arriving, Savannah has:

  • Kroger with gas station – turn right on the street just before McDonald’s; short distance on the left

  • Walmart – on Hwy 64 at the eastern end of town, across from Lowe’s

  • Wine and liquor stores

Camping & Gear

Bring everything you need for a comfortable stay:

  • Tent or camper with sleeping bags (warm sleeping bags recommended for cool evenings), towels, and other camp gear

  • Shoes suitable for hiking

  • Binoculars for bird-watching

  • Flashlight

  • Portable phone charger

  • Tick spray and sunscreen

  • Camp chairs and picnic blankets

  • Hat and or beanie

  • Raincoat and tarp – weather is uncertain, so it’s a good idea to have these just in case

  • A few camper spots have electrical hookups available

  • Average temperatures on October 24:

  • High: ~72°F

  • Low: ~48°F

  • We are looking at a weekend temp of 70/49

Food & Cooking

  • Bring prepared food for dinner, breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Bring enough ice to keep your food chilled for the whole event.

  • For band members staying in the farmhouse, there is some room in the fridge, but consider bringing a cooler with ice for drinks and extra food.

  • Charcoal, foil, and spatula/tongs if you want to grill (we will have 3 grills)

  • Plates, utensils, and cups

  • Some gumbo and vegan lentil mushroom soup will be available while it lasts, by donation. So, bring enough food, drink and ice for your stay.

  • Drinks

  • All drinks are welcome! Please also bring plenty of water and ice to keep your beverages cool throughout the event.

Additional Items

  • Musical instruments for the Hootenanny

  • Yoga mat

  • Art supplies

  • Journal

Bathroom

Onsite bathroom with shower. All toilet paper must go into the garbage can provided in the bathroom.

Festival Info & Guidelines

  • We are asking guests to park in the pasture and camp adjacent to your vehicle. You are also welcome to camp in the woods if you prefer. The bands will be playing in front of the stable. This site is very close to the restroom.

  • Please take your recycling back with you (no recycling in the area).

  • Trash cans provided.

  • 3 grills will be available.

  • Pets are allowed, only if they are friendly to other dogs and humans. Must be kept on leash at all times. Off-leash opportunities are at the very back of the property.

  • Fact of life for living in the country: there are snakes, both poisonous and non-poisonous. Watch where you walk at all times. Most times a snake will be moving away from you. Don’t step on them.

  • Parents with children – please monitor them constantly.

  • No firearms or fireworks.

  • Communications

  • Cell phone service is spotty, but we have excellent fiber internet, so we set our phones to call over Wi-Fi and get our calls and texts that way.
